Waking up to a breathtaking view of the volcano and enjoying nature from the spacious bungalow was a highlight. The staff’s warmth and knowledge about local wildlife, including spotting sloths quickly, made the stay memorable. However, the beds were quite hard, affecting our comfort.

The property offers stunning views with large windows in the bungalows, providing a perfect connection to nature. Breakfast featured delightful, fresh oatmeal along with homemade jams, making every morning a treat. However, the beds were quite firm, which affected comfort, and the menu choices were limited, requiring decisions by 5 PM. While the staff was friendly and the ambiance peaceful, improvements in bedding could enhance the stay significantly.

We thoroughly enjoyed the picturesque setting of the lodge, especially taking a dip in one of the inviting red cedar hot tubs. The breakfast was fantastic, and the wildlife views from our patio were an absolute delight during our stay with our young baby.
My wife says that the beds could be more comfortable for a family.

Tenorio Lodge offers stunning views of the volcano from private, well-designed rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass. The opportunity to see local wildlife, including sloths, shortly after arrival was exceptional. Breakfast is an event, featuring an array of fruits to attract various bird species. The dining experience is also remarkable, with both breakfast and evening meals being superb and meticulously prepared each day.
The menu is limited, requiring meal choices to be made by 5pm.

Family with children ideal getaway
Waking up to that amazing view of the volcano was something else! Every morning we watched birds while sipping coffee on our private patio, it felt surreal.
It wasn't exactly cheap but you know what they say, you get what you pay for.

Staying in the bungalow offered amazing views where we regularly spotted toucans and other local wildlife. The surrounding nature provided a magical ambiance, especially during breakfast with fresh fruit attracting various birds. However, the beds were uncomfortably hard, affecting our sleep quality after long hikes, and the lack of air conditioning made it quite warm during the day. Additionally, the window shades were insufficient, letting in too much sunlight early in the morning.
